The consultation is free of charge and will be made via email and/or phone (Viber-WhatsApp). We will build the whole package and the itinerary to satisfy your needs and make it enjoyable and fun.

Is the tour price per person?

Yes: Prices are per person, in US dollars.

Are transfer prices in EUR?

Yes: Transfer Prices are in EUR.

Are the prices guaranteed?
Yes. The price of your tour is guaranteed the moment we receive your deposit payment.
Do you accept post payments or installments?
NO.
At the time of booking, a non-refundable deposit is due to the Tour Operator. If the booking is made 60 days or less prior to departure, full payment is due at the time of booking. The non-refundable deposit should be sent to the Tour Operator or authorized agent, as applicable. There are no exemptions to this requirement.

What is included?

Flights are not included so our tour prices don't include airfare. Your flight arrangements are completely up to you. See what's included on every specific tour.

Are there any age restrictions for tour members?

We have no official age restriction. Parents will take full responsibility if they decide to travel with children under the age of 2. We recommend the minimum age of 2 years old. No upper age restriction.

Tour members under 18 might stay in the same room with a parent or guardian.

What type of accommodation is offered in your Tours?

Typically the cultural tours include accommodation in centrally located Hotels. If you are traveling in remote areas for outdoor and or adventure Tours the accommodation might be in local guesthouses.

What types of rooms are available?

Per European Standards:

  • Shared Twin Rooms for Solo Travelers: We assign solo travelers of the same gender to shared rooms with two twin beds at no additional charge. If a tour has multiple solo travelers, we'll rotate roommates at each hotel.

  • Private Single Rooms: If you wish to guarantee a private room, we offer optional, limited, extra-cost single supplements. The single supplement fee guarantees a private single room which is often the smallest, most basic room type in European hotels.

  • Rooms for Couples: Couples are usually given rooms with one double bed, but two twin beds are also possible. Queen- and king-size beds generally aren't always an option in most of the hotels we stay in.

  • Twin Rooms: Rooms with two twin-size beds tend to be best for friends and siblings rooming together. Some of these twins can be cozy — separate mattresses and bedding placed side-by-side within a one-bed frame.

  • Triple Rooms: A typical triple room has one double bed plus a single bed, rollaway, or cot. While we can request three twin beds, this configuration isn't common (for this reason, we do not recommend triple rooms for three adults).

What is a “Single Supplement”?

We offer an optional, extra-cost single supplement that guarantees a private single room for a solo traveler. Single supplement costs vary by tour and can be found on each tour's webpage or we will send you the supplement cost depending on availability.

When and how should I pay the remainder of my tour balance?

The remaining balance for your tour is due 60 days prior to departure.

Can I transfer a reservation from one tour to another?

Yes, if in a Group Tour: You can switch tours as long as seats are available on the tour you want, and you're transferring more than 60 days before your original tour's departure and you have paid the difference if the new tour cost id higher than the one you have booked.

YES. We can arrange pre- or post-tour transfers from all the countries around.

When should I fly to Europe and back?

Check your confirmation and specific tour itinerary for your tour dates and exact start time of the

"Day 1" tour meeting. If traveling from the United States, Canada, and the Americas you must depart at least one day in advance of your tour start date. We recommend that you book flights several months before your departure date — and much earlier if you want to use frequent-flyer miles. Flying back should be the "Last Day or Departure Day" of the tour.

What travel documents are required?

Everyone who joins a tour is required to bring a valid passport and provide passport information to the Tour Department before departure. Your passport expiration date must be valid for at least six months beyond your planned return date. You're responsible for obtaining all required travel documents prior to your tour and you'll need to contact your government to determine specific passport and visa requirements for traveling in Europe.

No shots are required for traveling to Europe.

How do I get to the start of the tour?

About a month before your tour departs, easy-to-follow directions to your tour's first hotel will be available to you via email. If you have requested a pre-transfer you will have that information in your email too. One week or few days before the start of the tour we will email you where to meet with the Tour Director, but generally in the lobby of your Hotel.

On The Tour with us

Does my luggage have to measure exactly 9 x 21 x 14 inches?

You must be able to comfortably handle all your luggage by yourself sometimes. Therefore, we strongly urge you to limit your luggage to airline carry-on dimensions.

What should I pack?

Packing light is essential! Bring versatile, comfortable clothing that you can layer. Pack for the season in which you'll be traveling, but expect some rain regardless of the time of year.

What are the physical demands of your tours?

Our tours are relatively physically active but very easy to manage! Expect to be on your feet, walking and standing, for up to three hours, indoors and outdoors, and in all weather conditions.

Will I need to carry my own luggage?

NO, especially up several stairs for elderly people. Our staff and the Hotel staff will do that for you. Sometimes yes for fit people.

What are your hotels like?

Apollon Tours hotels are all centrally located, traditional, and the best three- or four-star are standard.

WE KNOW BETTER, we live here and we want to give you the real taste and the best comfort we can ever give.  Some don't have elevators, but all are with air conditioning and Wi-Fi in common areas, rooms, restaurants, and bars. All the rooms have private bathrooms. You will never have your bathroom down the hall.

What will the meals be like on my tour?

While on tour you'll eat like a local. The cuisine is typical of the region and can vary widely from country to country. The tour offers only breakfast unless otherwise advertised on the website or contract.

Is the food safe and good?

The food in Albania is considered the best organic food in Europe. All other countries have safe food and the quality varies.

Can I get special meals for my dietary restrictions?
The short answer is YES.
The Tour Director is your best friend and he will take care of your food requests, and not only.

If you require a vegetarian diet, please alert your guide at the start of your tour, so he or she can make arrangements for your upcoming meals. Beyond this, we cannot take responsibility for tour members with special dietary needs or allergies but we have managed pretty good to fix every need. Tour members with dietary restrictions usually manage fine with a little flexibility and willingness to supplement meals as needed at their own expense. Please discuss all relevant dietary/health issues with your guide at the start of your tour so he or she can assist you when possible. Such a thing should be made aware to us at the reservation time, too.

How will I do laundry on my tour?

Most tour itineraries have accessibility to laundry services once or twice during the tour, and your guide will give you tips on when and where you can do laundry.

YES and NO.

Your tour does not include tips for the Tour Director only.

NO, You don't need to tip the driver or other staff so please don't tip beyond this, if you do not want to.

Generally, the tip to Bars, Restaurants and Tour Director is 10 - 15% of the total amount.

You'll be responsible for the cost of all your lunches, dinners, and daily expenses. Be sure to plan and budget accordingly.
